C.R.A Los Girasoles

Hi friends! We are working on the topic of "fear". Here you are a few activities we have developed in Atalaya del Cañavate:

We have created a few monster book markers to use with our books:

Halloween is always a tradition we usually study in English. But this year, with our "Bilingual section", something special happens.

We are really feeling it as a very special date, and we are doing many things with our pupils, as well as decorating our schools as really terrorific places.

With these wallcharts we have the opportunity not just of motivating our pupils and developing their creativity but also of working with useful "Halloween" vocabulary.

Doors have also been decorated, now you cannot enter to any class without feeling really scared.

Finally in Atalaya del Cañavate we have prepared a "Halloween competition", in order to get the most terrorific costumes and Halloween characters you have never known. Have a look at our final result.

As a way to introduce Autumn to our pupils, we have created different wallcharts in the different schools we have in our C.R.A.

In Atalaya del Cañavate, Autumn has been introduced by using words related to the weather, nature and basically, explaining them what happens with "leaves".
Finally, we made a wallchart, as you can see here.




In Honrubia, something similar has happened. In the hall of the school a tree with some traditional food, leaves and clouds is placed too.

We really like this season because it gives us the opportunity of working many many vocabulary and children really enjoy it.

Hi friends!

Important things are not easy to get, but... at the end... we are a BILINGUAL SECTION!.

From this year on, we will introduce Art and Physical Education in English progressively to our pupils.

This year we will start with Infant Education and 1st cycle of Primary Education.
Next year we will continue with Second cycle and finally in 2014/2015 we will finish by teaching Physical Education and Art in English in 3rd cycle.

We are very happy with this project, and we are sure our pupils will improve their english competence and their knowledge about english culture.
